Explorers - Ms Lomas
Welcome to Spring Term in the Explorers.
As we move into the spring term we are going to have our focus on The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. This is a lovely text as we move into warmer temperatures (hopefully) where we will begin to look for more minibeasts and wildlife.
During this half term we are going to be looking at length and measure along with capacity, filling and emptying containers. Our language focus will be on understanding full and empty as concepts with older pupils beginning to use the measuring tools to accurately measure objects. Our coordination station continues to develop our gross motor skills, core strength and balance. Our daily finger gym activities are going to continue to develop our fine motor skills and increase our writing stamina. You can see the attached curriculum leaflet for a bit more information. The children continue to have input from our SALT providers.
We hope for lots of fun as we head to warmer weather.
