Explorers - Ms Lomas
Welcome to Spring Term in the Explorers.
As we move into the spring term we are going to have our focus on The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. This is a lovely text as we move into warmer temperatures (hopefully) where we will begin to look for more minibeasts and wildlife.
During this half term we are going to be looking at numbers for counting and labelling, we will work on one to one correspondence. Our language focus will be on understanding more and less as concepts with older pupils beginning to use the symbols to represent this. Our coordination station continues to develop our gross motor skills, core strength and balance. Our daily finger gym activities are going to continue to develop our fine motor skills and increase our writing stamina. You can see the attached curriculum leaflet for a bit more information. The children continue to have input from our SALT providers. SPOTTS which is our sensory OT will be visiting this half term also.
We are all very much looking forward to lots of fun and creativity throughout this next half term.
