Adventurers - Miss Foster
Home Learning – Friday 10th January
Just a reminder that learning activities will be available on Seesaw. Please see our Seesaw posts for more detailed resources.
Here is a brief overview of today's activities:
Maths
In maths today, there are some activities attached here to help you practice your times tables skills and knowledge!
Firstly, here is the link for our school TT Rockstars login page, here you can choose any times tables that you feel you need to practice and work your way up the TT Rockstars leaderboard!

There are two other multiplication game activities to have a go at aswell, one we have practiced at school before ‘multiplication fishing’, the other is a new game ‘multiplication bowling’. For each of these games you can choose one or more times tables to practice, you could try challenging yourself by choosing your top 3 tricky times tables to practice altogether. Have fun!

PSHCE/English
On Friday’s we usually have a friendship Terrace session with Mrs Lindop. Here is a recap of our last Friendship terrace session! Please read through the story, maybe someone at home could read this with you to talk about the events in the story!
- Can you describe Rough Ryan?
- What did Rough Ryan do that was friendship blocking?
- How did the other on Friendship Terrace feel about this?
- What happened to help him see things differently?
- What advice did Friendly Freddie give to Rough Ryan?
- How did Rough Ryan feel at the end of the story?
- What did Rough Ryan do to be friendship building?
Activity: Can you think of some other friendship blocking and friendship building actions we have learned about last term? Maybe you could write them down in a table with drawings/images to show them. Here is an example:
Reading
Please don't forget to practice your reading whilst at home! We recommend reading at home at least 3 times a week.
Here is another Traction Man story to listen to after reading your home books!

PSHCE
In PSHCE this week, we are exploring our dreams and goals!
Have a think about 3 things that you feel you achieved last year, these could be things at school or at home.
How did you achieve these goals? What did you do?
How did achieving those goals make you feel?
Next, think about 3 things you would like to achieve this year.
How will you achieve the goals you set?
What will you do to help you achieve your goals?
I look forward to hearing about your dreams and goals when we return to school next week!
Golden Time
Take some time this afternoon to have a brain break and choose a fun game or activity at home to have some golden time!
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, and we will see you back at school on Monday!
Take care,
Miss Foster
