Spring Term 1 25-26
This term our topic of focus is Rainforests and Reptiles!
In our English lessons this term we are exploring a range of texts including The Reptile Room by Lemony Snicket and Rumble in the Jungle by Giles Andreae we will be focusing on narrative writing and Jungle poetry. In our Maths lessons we will be focusing on multiplication, division and fractions.
In Science we will be exploring classifying organisms. We will be learning lots of different ways we can scientifically sort and organise categories of animals.
In ICT we are exploring audio production . We will be learning how to use technology to record and edit sounds. In Art this term we are learning about the artist Frida Kahlo and exploring how she uses painting to express herself and her interests.
In Geography this term we are learning all about rainforests including where they are located in the world and what we might find within them. This will link to our P.E where we will explore dance through jungle and rainforest themed movements.
Alongside all of these exciting activities we will also have weekly Forest School sessions, daily finger gym activities and opportunities to explore our topics through sensory exploration.
