SCHOOL CLOSURE - 9th & 10th January 2025

As you are aware, we have taken the decision alongside the Aspire Educational Trust, to close the school today due to the adverse weather situation. This decision has not been taken lightly; our number one concern has been, and always is, the safety of our children and staff and as such we have carried out comprehensive risk assessments of the school site. In doing so, we have deemed the site too dangerous to open due to the levels of impacted snow and ice. The forecast for the next 2 days is for further ice, with temperature falling to -8c. Given this forecast, we feel it only right to give you as much time as possible to plan for the next 2 days.

 

We have, therefore, made the decision, alongside all of the other Macclesfield schools in the Aspire Educational Trust, to move to 'online' learning for our children for the next 2 days and to physically re-open school on Monday 13th January. This decision has been purely based on health and safety grounds and whilst we apologise for any inconvenience caused, we hope you appreciate that your child's safety always comes first.
